Preparation:
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Beat eggs and 200 g of sugar until they become pale and form ribbons or a figure 8 shape. Add Grand Marnier and slowly pour in olive oil in a steady stream on high speed. When fully mixed, lower the speed and slowly add in the dry ingredients.
In a springform pan lined with parchment paper on the bottom, sprinkle the remaining sugar. Arrange the slices of oranges in a spiral formation, one on top of the other, until the entire base is covered.
Once the oranges are arranged, pour the batter into the pan. Bake in the middle rack of a preheated oven at 400°F for 35 minutes.
Remove from the oven when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
The cake should be baked on top of a tray as it may release syrup.
